Waiting for silence

"Its my turn" she said
Meaning sleeping on outside
Of their narrow bed

Pushed against the wall
They argued every night
Summer and winter

They tried top to tail
Then they tossed a coin for it
Parents listening on

Waiting for silence
As the old hall clock ticked on
Then they went to check

They peeked through the door
Sisters in each others arms
They loved each other

  1. Love! Sometimes the unconscious decides. I would imagine that's better than compromise!

  6. The coin toss is a good way to settle arguments. The storyteller in you always paints so vibrantly
