Let’s begin
again
That is what you
said
I should have
laughed
At your excuses
Trampled on your words
Thrown them in
the wind
To let such
manure
Fertilise the
plants
You’d string me
along
As you did before
To drive me
insane
I’m not your
putty
To fill some
weird need
To be kneaded
with spite
With my wings
clipped
Those days are
gone
I have paid my
dues
To your own weird
club
For the final
time
Imagine that
loser
It's you that's been stung

Well done. A sorry tale of betrayal that makes more sense than the wordle words deserve! :-)

ReplyDeleteTouche! If you're going to go out...go out with a bang..like the fire in this one Old Egg..
ReplyDeleteOuch ... and after a mope about ... so sweetly repentant ... "how understanding you are .. of course you are right" ... she's back again ... hope not...
ReplyDeleteI guess it's finally come to an end, right? (One would certainly hope so!)
ReplyDeleteWell done.
ReplyDeleteI have been debating how to shape something from the prompt words.
Oooh...ouch. This one is feisty!! Like that edge.
ReplyDeleteTake it no more....I said that once, and it was the best decision of my life!
ReplyDeleteThis one is far more real for some of us than for others. I like the feisty edge you portray so well,

I love how, in these few lines you've succinctly summed up betrayal...very nice.

Many people are quite happy to have someone around to take advantage of, and they'll use any words at their disposal to get their victim. Good on this person for figuring it out.
ReplyDeleteSome people deserve a sting. Well done.
