Family history

We caught the train at half past nine
Travelling on the country line
Where the sun all the time did shine

Searching for my roots was the aim
Others might laugh or show disdain
Knowing how to complete the chain

I might find they've been caught in crime
I need just a sliver of time 
Were they married did church bells chime?

I could design a family tree
Wife feigned surprise looked at me
What's afoot are you kidding me?
