When they are alone

Each room I enter
I will glance at the bookshelves
To read the titles

Is it wrong to judge
Someone by the books they read
Rather than their face?

Some check the kitchen
Or look out at the garden
Where their hearts would be

Some would be happy
To be greeted by a pet
Where their love may lie

But I like to see
What adventures they have
When they are alone

  1. Visitors to my place always seem fascinated to scan my vast bookshelf! I reckon you are what you read.

  2. People do tend to judge you by the books you read or if there are no books at all.

  3. I think we do judge people on the books they read. I'd hate to think what they think about me, I have such a diverse collection.
