Ring-a-ring o'roses

Ring-a-ring o'roses
A pocket full of posies
A-tishoo! A-tishoo!
We all fall down

Ring-a-ring o'rosey
I have a runny nosey
A-tishoo! A-tishoo!
Energy has flown

Ring the Doc, on the dot
I think I need a shot
A-tishoo! A-tishoo!
Nose in meltdown

Ring for an ambulance
Don't spare the finance
A-tishoo! A-tishoo!
I feel so run down

Please get me out of here
Loath the food, need a beer
A-tishoo! A-tishoo!
Hate this nightgown!

  3. Oh, I so relate to this poem! I loved it, Robin, and hope it is not from real life. It made me smile. The kind of adventure our age group is prone to.

  4. Ah, this is a fresh perspective, and somewhat more relatable too. I really do need a beer as well. Ha!
    Quite a clever write. Well-penned. :-)

  5. LOL - sneezing is always comical, isn't it? I can relate to this so well with my allergies in full sway. This was delightful.

  7. I would hate that runny nosey... but a whiskey and good sleep is a perfect cure

  9. I enjoyed your version of the old rhyme, Robin. I just hope you're not plagued with the flue this autumn. :)
