There's a world down there

On board ship we sail
Navigating oceans blue
Wet trail 'neath our bow

There's a world down there
Sometimes murky sometimes clear
Where we rarely go

There's sad wrecks of course
And detritus of our waste
We care not to know

Fish, whales and crabs too
Organic creatures below
No place else to go

We sail blithely on
No concern but ourselves
And our precious dough

  1. A picture speaks a thousand words, but when you put a boat load of people and their trash together--it speaks 10,000 more. Whew!

The situation is real. Our sea is most abused of all of our
environment. Humankind is the culprit and not caring!

  7. Far beneath the ocean waves ...the 'wrecks' have fascinated generations of artists, writers, poets, anthropologists and scientists. Human being is the issue as well as the solution.
We seriously need to think about future generations of humanity and life on Earth.

  8. The picture says it all. With a little effort and new practices of waste disposal none of this need ever have happened. We are producing too much unnecessary waste.
