On Brighton Beach

                                          Brighton Beach, England

Standing on the beach
Watching the cold rain slash down
Summer in England

Children untroubled
Still played on without the sun
They were not jaded

The beach tent hid us
The kids enjoyed the grey day
So they laughed with joy

So my wife sang out
“Come on sun, burn off those clouds
Wind blow them away”

She had influence
The sun soon sparked into life
We were satisfied

  3. This is definitely the most optimistic take on the Wordle words I've read so far. Lovely & welcome change of pace :-) And, who wouldn't be satisfied by a day at the beach??

  4. Satisfied is good for a UK beach...wind, rain and no actual sand...but it makes for hardy folk who are easily pleased...i am glad the wish worked too
