Made in heaven

What did I just say?
It was a lunatic thing
I said “I love you”

My head is spinning
A spaceship out of control
“You? Me? Forever?”

Angels spread their wings
And usually tread with care
They have been busy

Our planets collide
A stunning supernova
I’ll be the loser

Should I endeavor
To get out of this tangle
"No, I do love you"

You've stars in your eyes
Eternity is good for me
You are my sunshine

  5. That trepidation of saying I love you the first time...putting it all out there wondering will it come crashing down...love the planets colliding as that is how it feels isn't it!

  15. You did a wonderful job of weaving together the ideas of celestial bodies into clerical ideals and love. I like this because you ended up with a poem that touches base on multiple different concepts. It is very important in poetry to allow the reader to unravel their own idea of what the poem is about, and you left this poem open enough to allow that.

Personally, I thought the poem was about someone appreciating the universe that we live in.

Keep up the good work! :)

  22. I found your poem to be filled with romance and love in another sphere..spinning out of control..that is often what love does, it makes our world spin. I enjoyed the whole concept of connecting with the universe.
