Procrastination

A powerful call
Tough as diamonds probably
To break up with you

I watch you dancing
Your pleated skirt swings around
Am I still in love?

Have I the power
Risk a waterfall of tears
Saying that goodbye?

Will I once again
Suspend that big decision?
Oh, what a coward

I’ll take you back home
I will unzip and unstrap
No details discussed

There’s a barrier
You love me without measure
Just who’d give that up?

  2. It sounds like a hollow kind of love..a tough decision to be made..happy or loved..shame they often clash

  5. Oh, ways of love so different...but then we're still longing to love...just trust your heart...some people we meet only for short time, while others - for longer...

  9. It's hard to let go of what has grown comfortable. But fair to move on to what's next. Love this one OE!

  10. Sounds like the narrator is still in love to me. 'Breaking up is hard to do'. Who said that? Phew, nicely put together.

  12. Some would rather risk staying without love than confront that dreaded thing called loneliness.

  13. Choices always choices of what we want and can remember.

Sometimes just one more foray is enough... and yet we long for the indifference of freedom. Nice capture of romance going...going... still there?

  16. Relationships are complex like that, old egg. Nice imagery in this. Sorry for the extremely late visit, but I didn't have a great week. I am feeling bit more elevated now.
