Love is like a virus

Love is like a virus

Our minds never fail to fall

So it was with Anne

In some others minds

I was brave to court her

I was bound to fail

She was beautiful

I had a trick up my sleeve

I wrote her poems

It was a safe bet

My affection was unspoken

So she smiled at me

Later we were both

Invited to a party

“My famed poet” she said

“You’ve earned your wages

I think that I love you too

Can you support me?”

  1. You have to admire a woman who knows how to get directly to the 'heart' of a matter. I enjoyed this!

  5. Those must have been some good poems, even if the response was self-serving. The only poems men have written for me were so bad I ran the other way!

BTW, I'm having some domain name issues right now, so I've switched to www.ampino.net until I get things sorted.
