Where's my cup of tea?
Mid summer morning and the sun beams through the window.
"Wake up" it says with a warm kiss as I hide in bed.
My wife stretches by my side, yawning, poking me in the ribs.
Where's my cup of tea?" she asks teasing.
I crawl out of bed, find my slippers and stumble into the kitchen.
I would do anything for her.

such a comfortable relationship. Something we all long for I think...This is such a lovely image. Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Sounds a lot like our house only I sorta kick the Hub in the foot with mine and it's coffee I'm waiting for. Ivy's word - comfortable - is exactly right. I used to think comfortable was a bad thing, implying a lack of passion or excitement perhaps. Maybe not. Maybe comfortable is a really good thing.
ReplyDelete:-) (I'm smiling.)
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely, a warm kiss of sunshine. Doing that small, sweet thing of bringing your wife tea in bed shows the greatest amount of love. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteVery lovely to see this morning. But I'm always the first one up, no special tea for me! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a poignant piece...and a refreshing form..she is there...
ReplyDeleteYou are so good! If only....!
