You are beautiful

It is spring again
With sun’s warmest smile
The kiss of the breeze
And you dance for me
Pretty Butterfly
Colorful fairy
And you entice me
With you I ponder
You give me pleasure
You do me no harm
You are beautiful
A true gift from God

It is the first day of Spring in Australia on September 1st

  3. Nicely penned - a beautiful harbinger of spring. I have seen only three butterflies all spring and summer here, they are sadly getting very rare.

  10. Happy first day of spring to you! Sigh, I do wish we would be passing into spring instead of autumn. Nothing like a butterfly to herald the change in season.

  22. have you heard this song about butterflies: Mariah Carey's "Butterfly"? it truly conveys the beautiful essence of this flighty creature. I too love butterflies. and your poem also brings out their beauty. Cheers!

  23. Australia? That helps me think you're OK... wonderful piece...
But, at first, I started thinking... that "thee olde Egg," perhaps, was on his way out... he is seeing Butterflies as I prepare for a New Hampshire winter, tuning my autumn guitar strings to cricketts. But, alas you are fine in the land down under :-)
    Always enjoy my visit here.
