It is spring
again
With sun’s
warmest smile
The kiss of the
breeze
And you dance for
me
Pretty Butterfly
Colorful fairy
And you entice me
With you I ponder
You do me no harm
You are beautiful
A true gift from
God
It is the first day of Spring in Australia on September 1st

The picture and the poem blends so well. I could see the picture in the poem and the poem in the picture. Great!
ReplyDeleteso many beauties around us all we need to do is to be the beholder...nice lines :)
ReplyDeleteNicely penned - a beautiful harbinger of spring. I have seen only three butterflies all spring and summer here, they are sadly getting very rare.
ReplyDeleteWell, I wouldn't go so far as God, but certainly a gift.
ReplyDeleteFeeling a pang of envy - ours is waning, yours still to come.
ReplyDeletePrecious verse.

ReplyDeleteNice play with butterfly-fairy :) ~ Happy Spring, Oldegg! xx

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your words and that feeling that anticipation of summer this morning. Enjoy your spring and summer while we hope for a beautiful fall and hopefully a nice winter.
ReplyDeleteHappy first day of spring to you! Sigh, I do wish we would be passing into spring instead of autumn. Nothing like a butterfly to herald the change in season.
ReplyDeleteWell I am envious of your first day of spring as we are heading into autumn ~ Enjoy it as it is fleeting as a butterfly ~
ReplyDeleteAh, a fellow inhabitant of these Southern climes. September is my favourite time of year.

First day of spring.. what better that to find the butterfly to give directions?
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I sit often in my garden and watch the butterflies--and feel the same way as you do!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful - and wonderful to think of starting somewhere on the planet, as our autumn closes in........
ReplyDeleteSpring starting, that is......

Happy Spring :) Enjoy!
ReplyDeletehave you heard this song about butterflies: Mariah Carey's "Butterfly"? it truly conveys the beautiful essence of this flighty creature. I too love butterflies. and your poem also brings out their beauty. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteAustralia? That helps me think you're OK... wonderful piece...
ReplyDeleteBut, at first, I started thinking... that "thee olde Egg," perhaps, was on his way out... he is seeing Butterflies as I prepare for a New Hampshire winter, tuning my autumn guitar strings to cricketts. But, alas you are fine in the land down under :-)
Always enjoy my visit here.
