I drew the curtains Weather was miserable A sombre grey day Sad clouds rushed above Obedient to the wind Raspy thunder coughed Then the lightning struck The clouds wet themselves with fear And I laughed out loud So I went outside Standing there unprotected Kissed now by the rain At first on my face Then my hair and down my neck Whay joy the feeling Image found at http://belmonthouse.org
I know the feeling you evoke in the opening lines, Robin, and I love the lines: 'Sad clouds rushed above Obedient to the wind Raspy thunder coughed'. I understand that joy of standing in the rain - one of my favourite things.
embrace the rain. I remember one summer day it was humid. Too hot to horseback ride. Then it rained for hours. We decided to ride in the rain and it was SO much fun. Yes, if it isn't lightening, enjoy it if you can.
Aww gosh! This is so filled with euphoria and bliss! You make me want to go out in the rain 💖

Few feelings are as glorious as the Nature kissing us all over. What a feeling, indeed!
ReplyDeleteOh I love to stand in a warm rain. Once when I was a teen my sister and I took a shampoo bottle and stood in the rain to wash our hair.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully joyous! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMakes you happy to be alive...feeling the rain on your face. This is wonderful Robin!!
