I hold your hand

I see you there
My eyes dance

You are so beautiful

You then look up
Our eyes meet
Your look is quizzical

My finger points
First to me
And then across to you

You shyly smile
Lower your eyes
But still you nod your head

I say my name
And then you blush
As then you tell me yours

Now side by side
we quietly whisper
Each to the other

It is not long
As hearts beat strong
Before I hold your hand

It's warm of course
I hold it tight
We're off to our magic land

  8. This feels both like fresh love; the one that takes us places we suspected existed, but weren't sure we could reach.

Then, the last stanza, puts me in mind of couples who have been married for millennia, and love each other so much, and are lying side by side (perhaps in separate beds, for comfort), getting ready to go to on their last trip to their "magic land"... happy to have each other, always.

  17. So nice to remember those times when romance begins. Holding hands is such an innocent yet intimate thing to do when getting to know each other.
