Lost Love

My bones are grumbling
I wish for a painless life
Age is wearying

My eyes see not much
Of the beauty in this world
Clouded is my view

Hush is that a bird
Now singing at my window?
Where’s my hearing aid?

Are you at my side?
Oh, where is your loving touch
Bride of years ago?

  1. yes it's nice to have a loving touch at your side or someone else to tell you where that beauty is.

  7. If she's not there, I know she's in your heart. Lovely piece with insight about the aging process.
