The old mill
“They have closed the road to reach the highway so I’ll have to walk
around by the old mill where they found that body all those years ago.
I don’t
mind doing that during the day but it’s dark now on the way home and so scary.
Oh
good, there are lights there tonight so I should find my way but it looks like there’s been an accident."
“I’m sorry my girl but you can’t go up that road so get in the car and I'll take you the other way round.”
“Are you sure cos that’s my parents’ house just up there officer. You are a cop aren't you?”
Uh oh...this could go a couple of ways...I would like to know how this one ends!
ReplyDeleteScary indeed!! I think I'd rather take my chances on foot! Thank you for a chilling story for our Halloween edition of 6SS, Old Egg!
ReplyDeleteGives me the chills, that's for sure. Makes me grateful I've always been in shape and enjoy walking!
ReplyDeleteScary...because it has been true. Well written.
ReplyDeleteNot good, should have double checked...

ReplyDeleteHmm,both options sound a little dodgy to me,glad Im not in her shoes!
ReplyDeleteSounds like risky journey...maybe if she had some tools: water gun, a whistle, a spray or just cell phone - she would feel more secure....
ReplyDeleteYikes! Who taught this girl the rules of the road? This gave me a chill right up my spine, that last sentence. Nice to see you at Josie! Amy
