How weak is my flesh

I blinked, it’s there

My life written in the stars

Swept over heaven

I saw the vision

Ripe fruit in the basket

The secret of life

I am but a fool

What chance immortality

Who will hand it me?

Clever? No, not me

I’m still nestled in your heart

How weak is my flesh

  2. Vast as the heavens, down to the flesh. Strong write, "nestled in your heart."

  8. We aspire to what is grander than ourselves, but always fall prey to our own weaknesses. Nicely done.

  9. You remind us all that no matter how far we travel in space, or the space within our own minds...we are still human.

Thank you for your visit to my continuing story verse - there is nothing to forgive. I set the stage within that kind of time frame where magic is both relied upon and feared. Remember though - that it was the 'mute' who set the spell book free. However much we would like to think we have control of our own fate, we are perhaps fools to not consider that we are part of some unknown plan.

Thank you for allowing me to entertain you. It is for those who maintain and interest that keep me on my 'quest' :) ~Jules(storypageswhirl)

  12. Wonderful and pensive. The haikus work equally well independently and together.

  14. The stars always make me feel completely hopeful and senselessly lost, all at once. No sort of weakness in staying 'nestled' in one place for a while. It's always tender and sweet here. Hope you are well.

  18. Well that ending is quite spectacular, Robin. I am sorry for the late visit. Between work and the flu, life is not being kind to me right now.
