Walking alone

It's my fall from grace
Absolute misery now
I've been shown the door

So I walk alone
Not to nestle in your arms
Tears like autumn leaves

  1. I know we commenters are often very effusive in our praises, but I gotta tell you - I think this is the most beautifully moving and sensitive haiku ever!

  2. There was something about those 3 words, maybe because it's fall in my hemisphere, that reminded me of leaves and trees and lost love.

Beautiful poem. You are a talented writer.

  5. So short and yet so evocative. Everything is finite. Everything changes.

  6. Sensitive, and sentimental. But NOT sentimental 'twee', sentimental heartfelt.

  12. How very sad. In the end it feels as inevitable as our seasons.

  13. Was never good at writing haikus or senryus for that matter ...but this one made me pause and think and sent an "autumny" lump down my throat :)

  14. This piece is so touching and sad! I can't believe you've fallen from grace. It seems impossible given your sensitivity.

  15. Shown the door'......Not original, but in the concept of this poem it has a real ring of finality.

  16. We always miss what we do not have, and mourn what we've lost. Odd, if we've not had it, how do we know we should miss it?

    I like this one, yes.
    Thank you.
