Just when things could get no better

I loved you for so long
And now it’s all a bloody mess
I will miss you though
Will you too?

I loved that kinky smile
As we met in secret and you held me tight
I will miss you though
Will you too?

I loved that tender kiss of yours
And the scent of your auburn hair
I will miss you though
Will you too?

We never made any plans
There was no need for that
When every word was
A tender loving touch

How was it that your man
Found out and wrote my wife a letter?
I will miss you though
Will you too?

  1. Oh darn!
Those secrets are so hard to keep. Nicely parsed prose-poem.

  3. Phew, the cynic in me would say: Dream on, forget her, she wrote the letter!

    Well recalled!

  4. Exactly my thought, of course she wrote the letter seeing that the consistent thought was whether or not she would miss him too.

It's wild how the half can easily destroy the whole.

  9. Oh the enticing secrets of love, they are often more beautiful when crystallised in time and never disturbed.

  12. She didn't write the letter in my opinion...otherwise, why meet, why a kinky little smile and tender moments? Sounds like he just wants to hear again that she will miss him, too. Still, must not have been good enough to break up either marriage, both of which are obviously in trouble. Seems that one of the marriages should have finally seen the light of day and cracked open. Interesting that both held on.
